The Peace In Denials
Federal Government College Ijanikin Lagos Nigeria: The School Based Management Committee (SBMC) on December 5th, 2023 suspended an SS 3 pupil, Mohammed Ayomide Elusogbon because his mum, Mrs. Falilat Elusogbon dragged the PTA to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged embezzlement of funds. Two other SS 2 pupils were also sent on indefinite suspension for their parents being part of the petition to EFCC. The pupils were denied access to the school portal.
Jawasi: Please be informed that the EFCC is a body set up by statute to investigate allegations of crime; and the inducement of anybody to stop the investigation of an allegation of crime is itself a criminal offence. Because heard that the petitionist had been invited to the school on several occasions and threatened by the principal that "except the petition at EFCC is withdrawn, her son would be dealt with." Though on an investigation in furtherance, the aforementioned school Principal, Dr. Kehinde Famuyibo and PTA chairman, Mr. Tokede Williams have denied being behind the suspension of Mohammed Ayomide Elusogbon!
