NIGERIA secures $700 million loan from the World Bank to boost adolescent girls learning and empowerment - $700 million AGILE loan: the $700 million loan allocated to Nigeria's bid to expand the AGILE projects to eleven states, thereby accommodating more out-of-school children, the World Bank noted: the latest loan was disclosed in a statement published on Friday, September 22, 2023. The second was a loan of $500m to help Nigeria drive women’s empowerment, and was approved on June 22, 2023. The first was approved on June 9, 2023, with a loan of $750m to boost Nigeria’s power sector$.
