A Year: The Political Season Of Irony

Time is all we have - to live, to be great or to be an embodiment of hissing - time goes on gradually, it never waits; before one realizes it, it is all gone, however any disciplined disposition one has conveyed makes the one ever un-gone, celebrated and out of the devil's slight bait of ruined personage! According to Wole Soyinka: 'A basic belief in humanity.' Tinubu should learn henceforth: Time is not so long, only the positive advantage in it is ever durable. A neophyte, no doubt, henceforward in his political imbecility due to the fact el-rufaism does not work against the populace general welfare. Monthly recent, he tried to convince the citizenry right from the Saudi Summit that the subsidy removal trend has been to save in term of revenue generation nevertheless he had been in a cretinous oblivion before that time that to save has not been to raise the fuel prices or the Tinubu's created economic inefficiency for the people by removing the subsidy clause however diversification. What effectuated negatively the coloured removal has been nothing than el-rufaism - the unbridled corruption of the unnationalist goons to deceive the populous populace in the name of any political crass initiative as to embezzle the national financial resources. The nation is now more resilient against any corruption trend than the clandestine political goons could have thought of - recently; to zhuzh along the national economy with Laolu Jegede, the Independent Media and Policy Initiative (IMPI) announced the Tinubu's sway has saved ironically an average of N1 trillion monthly after removing the fuel subsidy, though on caucus largesse, which has amounted to N12 trillion by this score and nine of May days. According to J.P. Clark - the sole reason Nigerians must sway this patrimonial amount with EFCC - 'My house, it has collapsed in season that is calm to others. 'According to Niyi Osundare - after Tinubu has been regarded as a neophyte - 'A leader who knows how to follow, followers mindful of their right to lead.' Tinubu, by the concluded year's standard, has failed indeed to govern Nigeria according to the annual proclivity; moreover he should be oblivious about Africanism as he recently affirmed that Africa ought to set up regional military forces standby against coup - a trite diplomacy, after all, because what should be set up against coup has been transparency. Subsequently the bill to purchase 50 weapons must not be supplemented with the critical amount saved all from removing the fuel subsidy in disguise of Tinubu's betrayal supplanted now by educational spendings, bill reductions and fuel price reduction - the three aforementioned advantages we can collectively gain from at this a year, season of irony. Meaning no more the bogartings howbeit unequivocal equitableness. The country remains ebullient as the N12 trillion saved approximately so far for this first completed year is set eyes on, aside from the excess crude account which has been meant for peculiar projects as he has awarded 51 contracts worth N6.27 trillion for procuring, constructing and developing various infrastructural projects across the federation in eight months from the excess crude account recently; despite, not to belie again! The last but not the least of the three acquainted advantages solves the inflation all experience in the market places.

Dangote petrol supply: FG may slash N6tn fuel import

N520bn monthly fuel import expected to drop as Dangote begins supply June: The Federal Government may cut its approximately N6.2tn yearly fuel import bill if the Dangote Petroleum Refinery begins the sale of premium motor spirit as promised by the Chairman of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote. The country’s petrol import was reduced to an average of one billion litres monthly after President Bola Tinubu removed fuel subsidy on May 29 last year, according to a report by the National Bureau of Statistics. Operators put the average difference between the landing cost and pump price of PMS at N150/litre. With an average monthly consumption of 1 billion litres, Nigeria currently spends approximately N520bn on the importation of PMS every month. This is N6.2tn annually. Going by the planned June supply of PMS by Dangote, the country is expected to save a substantial amount from the elimination of shipping and other charges attached to importation, according to operators and industry experts. According to industry reports, Nigeria spends at least $10bn annually on the import of PMS, aviation fuel, diesel and other petroleum products. Analysts believe that not less than one-third of the country’s annual foreign exchange expenditure goes into fuel imports. During an energy conference in Abuja recently, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, opined that Nigeria does not need to import fuel, expressing concerns that the bulk of the country’s foreign exchange goes into fuel importation. The refinery, which is the largest in Africa and Europe when it reaches full capacity, has since commenced the sale of diesel and aviation, but its petrol is yet to hit the market. In April, Dangote crashed the price of diesel from around N1,500 to N1,000 per litre.

No Loss No Limitation No Lack!

Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday became the first team in Bundesliga history to go through an entire season unbeaten after a 2-1 home win against Augsburg extended their undefeated streak in all competitions to 51 games. Coached by Xabi Alonso, Bayer Leverkusen won the Bundesliga title for the first time to end Bayern Munich’s 11-year reign as champion. In the end, it wasn’t even close — Leverkusen lead second-place VfB Stuttgart by 17 points after stretching their German record unbeaten run to the exceptional across all competitions this season whilst not losing a single match in the Bundesliga throughout the season at playing 34 matches. 51: Bayer Leverkusen are yet to lose in 51 matches in all competitions this season. War of Ball: The Destiny

Neutrals will be hoping this UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg lives up to the first as both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich played out an exhilarating 2-2 draw. This game is therefore a straight shootout for the final, and although Bayern have won four of the seven meetings on aggregate between these two at this stage of the competition, Madrid have won each of the past two which hints that recent history is on Los Blancos’ side. Carlo Ancelotti’s men should enter the clash in a buoyant mood too after finally clinching what was their 36th La Liga crown this past weekend after they beat Cádiz 3-0 while Barcelona fell to defeat. That was their 37th competitive win of the season (D10, L2), and having scored 2+ goals in each of their past five matches at this venue, it’s likely Bayern need a big night from their attack if they’re to match their hosts again. But the German side had a far from ideal weekend in which to build any confidence after they were downed 3-1 by Stuttgart. Although it was a much-changed starting XI with this game in mind, the result did extend their recent run to just four wins from nine competitive matches (D2, L3), while Thomas Tuchel’s men have also conceded two or more goals in eight of their last ten road trips in any competition (W3, D2, L5). With this context, it’s understandable why Bayern come into this game as the underdogs, yet their record against La Liga sides suggests they can’t be overlooked. Player to watch tonight: England teammate Harry Kane has scored five goals in Bayern’s past four matches, with three coming from the penalty spot.
